Work

Problems we have been asked to solve.

These are recent engagements, told without invented percentages. The names of the clients stay with them.

01 — Hospitality

A hotel group on the North Sea coast

Stop competing on the lowest rate, and make the place the reason to book.

The group was buying the same guests as every other hotel on the coast, at a worse margin each season. The buildings, the weather and the food were the distinctive part. The marketing was not.

We rebuilt the story around the place and the season, then aligned the site and the paid campaigns so a visitor met the same idea in the advert and on the page.

02 — Professional services

A commercial set in the City

Say who the chambers is for, and replace a brochure nobody finished.

The set was losing instructions to firms with less experience and louder websites. Partners could explain the difference in a room. The site could not.

We clarified who the work is for, wrote the practice pages in that voice, and quietened an identity that had been trying to look like a global firm.

03 — Retail

An independent grocer in east London

Take orders after the shop closes, without turning it into a supermarket.

The queue was the proof of demand. After six the till was dark, and the only way to buy was to come back tomorrow. A delivery offer had been discussed for a year.

We shaped an offer small enough to run from the existing shop, then built the pages and the local campaigns that explain it in the grocer’s own voice.
